Safari Ridge Adventure
Paintball & Laser Tag
Kelowna, BC

Adventure Paintball rules are slightly different than those of Sport
Paintball. The major differences are the 20 foot Surrender Rule, Electronic
Scoring System and the timed re-entry. If you have played at other
paintball fields you may notice other differences as well. Our goal at Safari
Ridge Adventure Park is to ensure all players play by the posted rules and that
all participants have an enjoyable experience at our Adventure Paintball Park.
For more experienced players we offer special nights during the spring and fall
that offer paintball play at a greater intensity level.
OBJECT:
STARTING THE GAME:
-
Teams will wait in their Neutral Zone until the sounding of
one long bell to start the game.
-
The duration of each game is
10 minutes.
-
The game leader will call the players to take their
starting positions prior to the start of the round. One long bell
will then start the game. A buzzer and a pre-recorded announcement will signal the end of the round. All
players must stop shooting and leave the playing field immediately.
BEING MARKED OUT:
-
A player is marked out when a paintball breaks on him or on
any of his equipment and leaves a mark the size of a quarter or larger.
-
Splatter from a paintball bursting on a tree or any other
object will count if it is quarter size or larger.
-
When a player is marked out, he will call out loudly,
"I'M HIT" or "I'M OUT". He will immediately raise an arm to
signal that he is out and leave the field as quickly as possible. No players are
allowed to shoot at this player. Failure to follow this procedure (arm in the
air) may result in being shot multiple times.
-
All players must keep their goggles on,
put safety on and install barrel bags as they exit the field.
PAINT CHECK:
-
Whenever you feel you have hit another player call out to him
to, "CHECK YOURSELF PLEASE". To help resolve this faster, tell the
payer where you think he is marked; ie:, " CHECK YOURSELF ON THE RIGHT ARM
PLEASE." When the player checks himself, you must stop firing.
SURRENDER RULE:
-
Whenever you get a player in a hopeless situation;
ie: you
come upon a player with his back toward you, you must allow that player to
surrender rather than shoot at close range (closer than 20 feet or 6 meters). Call out,
"SURRENDER." The "victim" may not wheel and fire at
the player who just called the surrender. But if the "victim" doesn't
respond in a positive manner or starts to run, then you may shoot.
-
To surrender, a player may call himself "OUT",
"HIT" "I SURRENDER", "I GIVE'', "OK", or any
other statement that will convey a positive response.
GAME RE-ENTRY:
Players who have been hit or
surrendered may re-enter the game through the re-entry runways. The re-entry
siren will sound automatically at pre-set intervals. To qualify for re-entry,
players must have completely exited the field through the gate before the siren
stops, otherwise they must wait for the next siren. Once qualified, players may
re-enter the game at any time after the siren has sounded, and should take a
moment to wipe off any paint marks before returning to the game.
play fair, play safe, have fun!
